I just heard from a friend that I was the world's worst blogger. Given that my last update was February of 2005, it may just be true. But this is different. This isn't just reading my random thoughts of what I had for dinner or how a bird flew in my house, or even where in the world I'll be traveling next; This is inviting you, the body of Christ, friends and family, to partner together in God's mission for the world. It's an exciting race that He puts us on, and we're not meant to run it alone. God intended us to learn from one another, encourage each other, even rebuke one another. My intentions are not for you to feel rebuked after reading this, but maybe one day you'll be challenged, or even changed. God wants us to be transformed. Can He do that through a blog? Sure, he calls out the stars one by one and commands the thunder by His finger. Of course he can transform a heart through a blog article. But the point here, is to become a community.

I've lost touch with a lot of my friends since college, and now that I'm married, it's even harder. Because at the end of the day all I want to do is go home to my husband. So how do you keep up with each others lives and partner together in ministry? How do we grow together and learn from each other despite the miles, the trials and thousands of seemingly more important agendas than simply sharing God with our friends? I guess it's through a blog. Well, at least my boss thinks so. And I'd have to agree too. Isnt' that what we're all called to do anyway... just share God with others.

So, that long introduction to briefly say, welcome to my blog!

I know the value of inviting you into my ministry. So many of you support me both through financial donations and prayer/encourgement, that it becomes a mandate for me to share with you what God is doing in my life and in this city God has called me to. Not only as a missionary, but as a Christian, we are called to share, be open, be vulnerable, teach, train, equip, and bless others in our community. And now, it's also part of my job description. So, here it goes again. I will try to update as regularly as possible. I will write some general articles and post my newsletters here too. And of course, lots of pictures! So, happy reading to you and feel free to spur me on in my blogging efforts!

It's an exciting race, and I'm thrilled to ride it with you!
