The Currie Cup Finals were today, and a group of us went to one of the local churches to watch the game on their projection screen. It was an absolutely phenomenal game, and even though I don't know even a tenth of the rules, I'm sure, I knew enough to get really into the game (An aside - Erik, I'm REALLY wishing that I had come to watch your games up in PA. Sorry, man!). Right before regulation ended, the Bulls scored a try (giving them five points), and then made a good kick (giving them an extra two), tying the game with the Cheetahs. So the game goes into overtime. In the twenty ensuing minutes, both teams got a field goal, so us Americans are expecting some of kind of sudden death thing as that time expires. However, the unthinkable happens. Both teams start shaking hands and walking off the field as THE GAME IS OVER!!!! Are you kidding me? This is for the whole ball of wax and they end in a tie?? I couldn't believe it. Maybe it's my competitive nature, I don't know, but it killed me. It's like the Super Bowl ending after a couple of OTs because they were just tired of playing. Unbelievable. However, I did find rugby to be a really cool sport and could see myself truly becoming a fan.

In other news, a quick prayer request: I'm preaching at an evening service tomorrow night, and I'm a little stressed about it. I just got asked yesterday afternoon to do it, and I didn't have a whole bunch of time today to prep. So I would love some prayer covering for this. Thanks!

Finally, my best man in my wedding got engaged on Thursday to a great girl. Congratulations, J and Candace, and I can't wait to stand behind you guys on the big day. Y'all are in our prayers, and if I could offer up anything, it would be to stay away from the Bahamas in the summer!!!
