Chris and Christina were married on October 29, 2005. They met in Philadelphia while serving the Lord independently of each other. Chris previously was serving as an ordained youth pastor in a PCUSA church in the suburbs of Philadelphia and Christina was leading the FYM Philly team. Their first date was on October 28, 2004 and they were engaged 6 months later.

Christina has been on staff with AIM since the summer of 2004 (formerly known as Christina Bowis). She has previously led Real Life Teams to Jamaica, Ambassador teams in Philly, youth projects in Jamaica and Philly, and been on many other mission trips around the world. Prior to coming on staff with AIM, she was a teacher in California and attended Pepperdine University. Christina gave her life to the Lord when she was 13 after the divorce of her parents. God really met her as her perfect father with an abundance of love.

Chris grew up in Atlanta, Georgia in a strong Christian home. He attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas and then became the assistant college director for Highland Park Church. He soon attended Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA where Christina also attended at the same time. However, they spent 3 years passing each other in the hallways without ever know God would call them to marry each other. Chris was captured by God's love at a One Day - Passion Conference in 1999. It was there that God spoke His intimate and passionate love over Chris and he was forever changed.

Chris and Christina are honored and excited to serve the Lord together through AIM for the upcoming year. They are thrilled to help out with the FYM program in South Africa. They truly believe this move will strengthen their marriage, spiritual walk, leadership skills, and expand their perspective on God's Kingdom. They look forward to seeing how God will use them in the future.
