Lucky for us that there happens to be an internet connection in the backpackers that we´re staying in, cuz now I can give a quick update on everything that we´ve been doing over the past couple of days.  Here´s a bullet list because it´s late and I´m pretty wiped:

Shopped in the one of the coolest open air markets in the world - Green Market Square.  This place had pretty much everything you could ever want, at the cheapest prices I´ve found since we´ve been in SA.  I want to say that I have finally finished Christmas shopping for my wife, but if you´re reading this and you´re a husband, you know that you´re never really finished shopping for your wife.  All she has to do is bat her eyelashes at me, and out comes the wallet again.  Am I right, gentlemen?  I thought so.

Climbed Table Mountain, which took under two hours, and was definitely the toughest "hike" I´ve ever done in my life.  But totally worth it, as the view was absolutely spectacular from the top (pictures to come soon!).

Ate authentic African food at an all-you-can-eat restaurant.  This was absolutely incredible.  Marinated meat that almost melted in your mouth, and cuisine that came from all over the continent - Angola, Zimbabwe, everywhere.

Went to the Cape of Good Hope, which is the Southwesternmost point in Africa.  More climbing (this time both ascending and descending), but, again, totally worth it.  Phenomenal views and, seriously, how many times am I going to be able to say that I was in a place where two oceans meet??

Saw tons of penguins, which was a first for me - seeing them in the wild.  They were close enough to pet, had I dared to.  But really cool, nonetheless.

Unfortunately, we found out today that Robben Island is booked until January, so I think we are going to take it easy tomorrow.  We are thinking about going to the V&A Waterfront tomorrow to just chill out a little for the day.  I, for one, would welcome the chance to not climb anything else, and I think the rest of the group would be with me on that one.  But anything can happen, so stay tuned!
