I’m sitting here in an internet cafe in Manzini with not much time left, but I wanted to give you all an idea of our last week or so of ministry. Most of our days have been spent doing house visits, spending the day on the homestead (Thembeni), or coming into Manzini to minister at the hospital. We also had the chance to do the Easter service at the prison, where Jakkie preached!!! He was awesome and it’s been such an encouragement to me to see how far the Lord has brought him in such a short time.
On a personal note, the bucket showers haven’t been as bad as I thought, and the same holds true for the latrines (it’s amazing how your nose can get used to pretty much ANY smell!), but I must admit sleeping in the van every night hasn’t been my cup of tea. But that’s really been the hardest part of acclimating to life here in Swazi. Do I want to move here? Not a chance. But it hasn’t been as difficult as I thought it would be.
Thanks so much for your continued prayers. Stay tuned for more stories and pictures!!
