I had to end yesterday a little short but I wanted to get back to this and finish the update. God definitely showed Himself in a powerful way yesterday in an event that showed His sovereignty, even in a way that we might not have expected. Our team was split up yesterday and sent on a scavenger hunt around J-Bay. One of the items on the list that they were given was to find a woman named Aunty Matilda and bring her a flower. Matilda is an incredible, godly woman who lives in Pellsrus, one of the colored communities in J-Bay. She spends her time doing home visits to people in the community and God has used her in some amazing ways to bring Christ into the dark places.
Anyway, two of the groups were brought to Matilda’s house at the same time, and about ten minutes later, her nephew came into the house after having received some serious injuries in a fight. The Lord granted our team members some incredible peace in the midst of chaos, attending to his wounds and helping him to stay calm. There have also been some doors opened for some follow up visits, especially with one our guys, to share the love of Christ with the young man. So we praise God for that opportunity, and for working things for His glory.
We’re hoping to get internet in the house in the next week or so, so we’ll have much more access to email, etc. So if you’ve been feeling like we dropped off the face of the earth, please know that we do want to talk to y’all individually, or at least email you individually. So we look forward to being able to do that.
